Sam Altman said that GPT-4o is the best tool for web search. This model has been improved and now can even give better results.
OpenAI has launched GPT-4o with new features, some of which are used for scams by criminals through its voice function.
Sam Altman posted on social media that GPT-4o is very good now and will get better.
There was a little back-and-forth with the CEO of Perplexity, another company that is adding AI to search.
This news goes to show how AI is changing web search and posing a challenge to Google's firm grip on the market. It also shows that race is on for creating smarter search tools.

Apple AI in China
Apple collaborates with Alibaba and Baidu to launch its AI application Apple Intelligence in China.
The company must comply with the stringent regulations of China: Plus, it will operate on local servers and interact with Chinese companies to filter and refresh its AI features.
Apple is utilizing Alibaba's local infrastructure to host its AI models and to filter them. Baidu might offer capabilities like visual intelligence and may even help remove ChatGPT from Siri's side.
Older iPhone models with older AI models will automatically disable Apple Intelligence until newer model downloads become available.
This shows how big companies must change their plans to follow local laws.
