Snap’s New AR Glasses with AI

Snap Unveils Fifth-Generation AR Spectacles with New AI Features

  • Snap's latest Spectacles are standalone AR glasses powered by the new Snap OS, with integrated AI capabilities.

  • The glasses feature cameras, sensors, and multi-modal AI, offering full freedom of movement in a lightweight design.

  • Snap introduced new AI-powered tools for generating videos and portraits from a single image.

This marks a significant leap in AR and AI innovation, but limitations like the 45-minute battery life show there’s still room for improvement. However, Snap continues to push the tech frontier forward.

Everything about Copilot you need to know

Microsoft is one of the companies placing a special focus on AI technology.

In addition to making a significant investment in OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, Microsoft has also introduced its own AI chatbot called Microsoft Copilot.

In this article, you'll get to know more about Copilot AI, its different versions, and their capabilities.

Does Copilot use GPT-4?

Technically, yes! As mentioned, Copilot uses the Prometheus model, which is based on OpenAI's GPT-4.

Microsoft also claims that Copilot now uses GPT-4 Turbo, a newer AI model from OpenAI.

GPT-4 Turbo, with knowledge updated to April 2023, is faster and more accurate than GPT-4, which was updated until September 2021.

Note: Copilot does not use ChatGPT. To clarify, ChatGPT is an app that connects to OpenAI models like GPT-3.5 and GPT-4, providing users with a chatbot experience.

Benefits of Using Microsoft Copilot AI

Microsoft Copilot offers a range of benefits, from boosting efficiency and productivity to reducing workload and stress.

Here are a few examples:

  • Increased productivity: Copilot can automate tasks, offer smart suggestions, and simplify workflows, helping employees boost their performance at work.

  • Reduced workload and stress: It handles repetitive tasks and provides valuable insights, helping reduce workload and improve the overall work environment.

  • Enhanced collaboration and creativity: Copilot's collaboration features and creative suggestions improve team interaction and inspire new ideas.

  • Investment management: Businesses can also rely on Copilot’s data-driven insights for smarter financial management and savings.

Is Microsoft Copilot AI free?

Copilot is a completely free AI tool, but Microsoft also offers a "Copilot Pro" subscription with extra features.

The free version connects you to the chatbot using GPT-4 Turbo, allowing you to search via text, images, and sound, access plugins, and get 15 daily tokens for generating AI images.

Copilot Pro costs $20 per month, providing priority access to GPT-4 and GPT-4 Turbo during peak times and allowing users to create personalized Copilot-driven chatbots.

This version also grants 100 daily tokens for AI image generation and integrates with Microsoft 365 apps.

Different Versions of Microsoft Copilot AI

Microsoft offers several versions of Copilot, tailored to different needs. Here's a quick overview:

  • Free version: Suitable for everyday tasks and enhanced online search, accessible via Windows 11, Microsoft Edge, and mobile apps. It’s free but may not always provide specific or detailed information.

  • Copilot Pro: For $20 a month, users can access GPT-4 and GPT-4 Turbo for faster responses and more advanced features.

  • Copilot for productivity (Microsoft 365 Copilot): This version integrates with Microsoft 365 apps (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint) to automate tasks and help users accomplish more in less time. It costs $30 per month.

  • Copilot for security (Microsoft Security Copilot): Combines AI with cybersecurity to protect users from cyberattacks. It’s priced at $4 per hour or $2,920 per month.

  • Copilot for services and sales: Announced during the Ignite 2023 event, these versions optimize business operations and customer interactions, helping companies improve productivity and close more deals.

Using Microsoft Copilot AI on Mobile

Copilot is available for both Android and iPhone. You can download the app from Google Play or the App Store.

iPhone 16: Built for AI, But Lacks AI

Apple Expands AI Language Support, But iPhone 16 Launches Without Key Features

  • Apple will expand its AI features to support more languages, including German, Italian, and Korean in 2024.

  • English versions localized for the UK, Canada, Australia, and others will arrive by December.

  • Despite launching the iPhone 16 this Friday, AI features won’t be available until later this year, with a full rollout expected in 2025.

This expansion of Apple's AI feature set reflects the company's global ambitions, but it also highlights the delayed integration of AI into its new flagship device, keeping users waiting for its full capabilities.
