Humanoid Robots Enter GXO Logistics

Agility Robotics has signed a multi-year deal with GXO Logistics to deploy its Digit humanoid robots in warehouses, following a successful pilot in Spanx facilities in 2023.

• This agreement is recognized as the first Robots-as-a-Service (RaaS) deal and marks the formal commercial deployment of humanoid robots.

• Agility's Digit robots will be integrated into GXO's logistics operations at a Spanx facility in Connecticut, performing repetitive tasks and logistics work.

• The 5'9" Digit can lift up to 35 pounds and integrates with the cloud-based Agility Arc platform, which controls full fleets and optimizes facility workflows.

Companies may soon adopt advanced robotics in their workforce, and subscription services could help reduce financial and technical barriers, allowing for scalability without massive upfront costs.
