AI Chatbots Are Distorting News, BBC Reports
A BBC investigation found that AI chatbots like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot often distort news from media sources.
In a test summarizing 100 BBC news articles, over 51% of chatbot responses contained major errors.
Google's Gemini had the highest error rate, with 46% of its summaries being significantly inaccurate.
AI chatbots are increasingly used to summarize news, but if they misrepresent facts, they can spread misinformation and undermine trust in reliable sources.
