The US Air Force is letting AI fly planes. Last year, in a test, an AI-controlled jet fought against a human pilot in the air and succeeded.
DARPA tested an AI-controlled jet against a human pilot in a dogfight.
The AI system was developed as part of DARPA's Air Combat Evolution program.
The successful test indicates progress in autonomous flight technology.
This development is important because it showcases advancements in AI for piloting. They finally can start wars without sending a single soldier.😉
